Local Producers and Regional Flavours Shine at Kingsford The Barossa’s 2026 Event Series

Kingsford The Barossa is stepping into 2026 with a nine-event food and wine series designed to showcase the very best of South Australia’s producers, winemakers and culinary talent.

Set just outside the Barossa Valley on 225 acres along the Para River, the historic estate has evolved into one of SA’s most impressive luxury retreats. Long before its modern glow-up, though, many Australians knew the homestead as “Drover’s Run” — home of the hugely popular TV series McLeod’s Daughters.

Now, the story at Kingsford The Barossa extends beyond beautiful rooms and rolling views, with the 2026 event series bringing people together through regional flavours, local producers and the stories behind the food.

Here’s What Kingsford The Barossa is Dishing Up in 2026

The series is built around two distinct event styles. It begins with relaxed Gather & Graze Sessions — casual 60 to 90 minute pop-in experiences where guests can enjoy delicious bites, a drink in hand, and the chance to meet local producers. Alongside these are the more immersive Signature Events — longer, sit-down dining experiences that unfold over two to three hours, offering a deeper dive into the region’s food, wine and stories.

First up The Pizza Party (and it’s very Barossa)

On Saturday 21 February, the series kicks off with a Peppertree Pizza Party in the courtyard.

Guests will enjoy hand-stretched, wood-fired pizzas made on Kingsford’s house sourdough base. Toppings feature cheeses from The Dairyman Barossa and Latteria Fresca. Guests can meet the makers while they dine.

Expect oyster mushroom, pork sausage, ricotta and caramelised bacon. Each ticket includes a glass of Barossa wine and warm local hospitality.

Spots are limited — tickets are $60 per person.

Up next… Autumn Gather & Graze with Abelsway Farm

On Saturday 18 April, the series continues with a Gather & Graze lunch in the Peppertree Bar. Kingsford The Barossa will partner with Abelsway Farm for the event. Hallelujah Hills chicken is the hero of the menu.

The afternoon focuses on good conversation, local wine and a main course prepared simply to let the produce shine.

Fireside Winter Session with Yalumba

The series continues on Friday 26 June with a fireside Gather & Graze. Kingsford The Barossa will host the event in partnership with Yalumba. Jess Hill-Smith will share the family’s 175-year Barossa legacy.

Guests will enjoy a curated selection of Yalumba wines. Wood oven snacks will be served in the Peppertree Bar. It’s designed for slow sips and good conversation.

And There’s Plenty More To Come…

The series also includes several Signature Events, including a premium Wine Vault dinner with Jim Barry Wines. These longer, immersive dining experiences pair seasonal menus with curated wine selections and will be announced once new dates are confirmed.

Kingsford The Barossa’s culinary director Jake Kellie said the aim of the series is to create meaningful, memorable experiences that truly reflect the region.

“Our goal for 2026 is to create experiences that feel personal, generous, and deeply connected to the Barossa. These events give us the chance to collaborate with incredible local producers and craft moments that people will remember. Whether it’s a relaxed courtyard session or a more refined signature dinner, each event will celebrate the region in its own way, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”

If Kingsford The Barossa has been on your “one day” list, consider this your nudge. There’s the heritage, the views and the drama-worthy setting, but now the stars are local producers, winemakers and chefs doing what regional SA does best.
