Finding the right support, community group or wellbeing service in the Barossa has just become a little easier.

The Barossa Council has launched the Barossa Wellbeing Hub, a new online directory designed to connect residents with local services, programs, community groups and wellbeing resources all in one place.

The website brings together information on everything from health and wellbeing services to community organisations, local facilities and support networks, making it easier for residents to find help when they need it.

The Hub replaces the Barossa Cares website, which was established during the COVID-19 pandemic to help residents stay connected and access important services.

Barossa Mayor Bim Lange said the new platform was designed to make information easier to find while helping strengthen connections across the community.

“It’s about bringing everything together in one place so people can easily access information about local places, programs, organisations and services that support health and wellbeing,” he said.

The launch follows two years of community consultation and planning through Council’s Barossa Wellbeing Project, which involved more than 860 residents and organisations helping shape the region’s wellbeing priorities.

The project was supported by Enhance Barossa Mental Health through funding secured under the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.

Residents, community groups and service providers are encouraged to explore the new Hub at wellbeingbarossa.com.au.
