South Australian Flower Farms Offering Pick-Your-Own, Workshops and Events

When it comes to South Australian flower farms, there’s plenty quietly blooming across the state.
We’ve handpicked just a few, but seriously, you could spend an entire weekend strolling through the colourful rows, snipping flowers or stopping by the gorgeous little roadside stalls dotted across the state.

Auburn Flower Farm – Undalya

Who doesn’t love a roadside flower stall in the country!

As you enter the Clare Valley, Auburn Flower Farm greets you with fresh cut blooms seven days a week. Farmed just up the hill, the roadside flower trailer is restocked daily with bouquets, boxes and vases bursting with the freshest seasonal beauties. It’s open from 7.30am until 8.30pm, so there really are no excuse not to buy flowers!

Coco & Honey Flower Farm

Coco & Honey Flower Farm – Monash

The Riverland’s not just about juicy citrus.

Coco & Honey Flower Farm in Monash is a boutique flower farm and floral studio set among vineyards, quince and pomegranate trees. Seasonal flowers are grown from September to April, starting with ranunculus and ending with show-stopping dahlias.

Owned and operated by Natalie and Aden Brock (and named after their two beloved dogs), Coco & Honey creates romantic, garden-inspired florals for weddings and events, with fresh bunches also available for pick-up, local delivery, or stocked at Berri Newsagency, Ayana Interiors Renmark and Koch’s Foodland Loxton.

Edge of Eden Flower Farm, Eden Valley

Tucked between Eden Valley and Angaston, Edge of Eden is a brand new small-scale seasonal cut flower farm, opening to the public later in 2026.

As well as a roadside stall, there will be Pick-Your-Own flower events and fresh flowers supplied locally.
Spring will see blooms like ranunculus, snapdragons, larkspur, stock and poppies, while summer brings the colour with dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, celosia and amaranthus.

The name is a bit of a nod to both its Eden Valley location, and the fact the view from the backyard isn’t far off paradise.

Hahndorf Flower Farm invites visitors to wander through the seasonal blooms and build their own bouquet.
Hahndorf Flower Farm

Hahndorf Flower Farm

If a slow lap of a flower field sounds like your kind of reset, Hahndorf Flower Farm is worth the short drive from the little German village.

This working farm invites visitors to wander through seasonal blooms and build their own bunch from whatever’s putting on a show that month. From cottage garden classics to unexpected wildflowers, the landscape shifts with the seasons — meaning no two visits are ever quite the same.

You can book a 90-minute pick-your-own session, or take things at your own pace with a self-guided wander and picnic among the gardens.

They also host floral design workshops throughout the year — so you can leave with more than just a bunch of flowers… you’ll actually know what to do with them

Shimmering Pines – Tarlee

If it’s an entire event surrounded by flowers you’re after, Shimmering Pines Farm at Tarlee in the Gilbert Valley is the place to keep your eye on.

From pizza and pick nights, photography sessions and even tailored tea parties for your little people, this place is in a league of its own.

If a summer sunset on a Friday night, snips in hand picking your stems, food truck fare and Clare Valley wine tickle your fancy, you’ve got to check out Shimmering Pines.

Sandy Rise Sunflowers – Mt Gambier

If summer had a headquarters in the South East, it’d probably be Sandy Rise Sunflowers at Suttontown, just north of Mount Gambier.

During the January–February season, the farm opens its gates for pick-your-own days, with visitors able to head out into the paddock and grab a bunch of golden sunflowers — or pick one up ready to go.

A sunflower maze has also been carefully planted to add to the fun, with plans to make it a regular sunflower season feature.

It’s become a popular spot for wedding photos and photography sessions, and outside of open days, flowers can often be purchased by arrangement.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page for opening times throughout the season — you’ll also spot their bright bunches popping up at local Mount Gambier businesses.

The Rusty Rose – Aldinga

When they’re not delivering fresh florals all over the Fluerieu, The Rusty Rose crew are opening the gates for life’s most meaningful occasions.

They’ve created an event space with a sea of beautiful flowers as the backdrop. Guests can make a booking for a unique bridal shower, with bubbles, a delicious grazing platter and a guided flower crown workshop. The Rusty Rose is also the perfect setting to pop the question or say “I do”.

No matter what the occasion, the stunning Aldinga Beach flower farm can tailor fun floral workshops, or make the place exclusively yours.

The Rusty Rose at Aldinga is a flower farm offering bespoke events.
