Camping, Cold beers and Australia’s Toughest Off-Road Racing
Craig Lowndes will swap bitumen for dirt this month, with the Aussie Supercar legend set to line up at Barmera’s Loveday 400.
The seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner has officially joined the entry list for Round 3 of the Australian Off Road Championship, giving anyone who loves loud engines, flying dirt and a good weekend away another reason to head to Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park from July 24 to 26.
Alongside navigator Dale Moscatt, Lowndes will tackle the brutal 400-kilometre course, taking on what organisers proudly call Australia’s biggest whoops and some of the toughest off-road racing in the country.
Horsepower, Donuts and a Weekend of Off-Road Action
Whether you’re there to cheer on your favourite driver, camp with your mates or simply see what all the fuss is about, the Loveday 400 is much more than a race.
Trackside camping means you’ll be right in the middle of the action all weekend, while the tavern will be pouring cold drinks and a stack of food vendors will be keeping everyone well fed. Expect everything from loaded burgers and spicy wings to baked spuds, sticky pork ribs and, of course, Riverland Donuts.
Australia’s best off-road racers
The country’s best Trophy Trucks, buggies and off-road machines will all be chasing championship points as they battle the demanding Loveday course. If you’ve never been to an off-road race before, this is about as good as it gets.
For the first time, spectators can also jump aboard the Loveday Limo, which ferries people out to the famous Super Jump viewing area. From there you’ll have a front-row seat as Australia’s best off-road racers launch through the air at speeds of up to 160km/h.
