When owner Jodie first came to Morgan to help out with the family’s houseboat business, it was meant to be temporary. “Dad had started building a fleet of houseboats and needed someone to manage them. I thought I’d come up for a year or two,” she laughed. That was 23 years ago – and she’s still here.
It’s easy to see why. The river has a way of drawing you in, especially when you’ve been around it your whole life. Jodie grew up with family holidays on the Murray, and her dad, now 81, is still building houseboats. “It’s in our blood,” she said.
