You’re in for a Riverland treat at Pike River
If you’ve ever wanted to truly escape — like, switch-off-the-phone-and-watch-the-sunset kind of escape—Pike River Villas is where you’ll find it.
Tucked away just out of Lyrup, overlooking a peaceful outlet of the Murray River known as Pike River, this place is a slice of secluded Riverland luxury. There are five villas as well as a stunning old refurbished woodshed – each one has its own unique vibe, giving you that “wow” feeling the second you walk in.
Owners Andrew and Bronny are passionate Riverlanders, and it shows in every detail—from the eco-conscious building design using recycled materials, to the way they showcase the best of the Riverland’s food, wine and natural beauty.
Inside the villas, it’s all about comfort and calm. Think cloud-like king or queen beds, fully equipped kitchens, beautiful bathrooms with rainfall shower heads, and cosy heating and cooling options—including open fireplaces and heated flooring in some villas. Three premium villas – Stone, Ibis and Redgum, even have star-gazing ceilings that opens to reveal the night sky at the touch of a button.
The sunken outdoor spas with river views are next level, and you can be as social or as switched-off as you like. Stay in, cook up a feast, pop open the bottle of local boutique wine, complimentary for every guest. Or level up your experience with one of the optional add-ons – there’s chilled champagne and chocolates, a breakfast basket, Riverland picnic hamper, BBQ pack with salads and dessert, or even an in-villa massage. It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure for grown-ups, with all the good stuff taken care of.
And if you’re into wine, you’re in for a treat. Andrew and Bronny have cleverly developed the Riverland Wine Centre, where you can taste drops from over 35 Riverland wineries—including Pike River’s own. There’s also an onsite cafe, serving local produce, including Renmark’s famous Arrosto Coffee.
Pike River Villas is luxe, there’s a pleasant surprise around every corner, and it’s 100 percent Riverland. And just quietly—their Vermentino is something else.
