Food Trucks, Local Gin, Craft Beer, Live Music and Market Stalls Take Over Wallaroo Town Hall as New Night Market Launches
Saturday nights on the Copper Coast are about to get a little busier, with a new night market bringing food, drinks, shopping and live music into the heart of Wallaroo.
The Wallaroo Night Markets will officially launch at the Wallaroo Town Hall on Saturday, September 19, with five markets running through to New Year’s Eve.
And this is more than your traditional country market.
Running from 3pm into the evening, around 40 stallholders will fill the Town Hall, with everything from handmade goods and local art to food trucks, wineries, breweries and distilleries.
Yep, it’s licensed too.
So grab some dinner, have a wander through the stalls, settle in with a local wine, gin or craft beer and make a Saturday night of it.
Food and stalls will change between markets, with hot donuts, a sausage sizzle, gourmet hot pockets and plenty more ready to fire up for the launch event.
A Different Kind of Country Market
The Wallaroo Night Markets have been created by locals Emily Barber, who runs popular cooking school and catering business Grazing Yorkes, and Lucy Potter, the creative force behind Crafting with Colour.
The pair wanted to create something a little different from the usual daytime country market.
They describe the idea as “a place where people could organise get-togethers at the end of the week, relax and unwind and make some memories while shopping and enjoying live music”.
And according to the pair, locals have been well and truly behind the idea.
“Support has been amazing,” they said.
“The community is really excited for it.”

A Big Night Planned For The Launch
The September launch will give Copper Coast locals and visitors their first taste of what’s to come, with around 40 stalls plus live entertainment and plenty happening throughout the afternoon and evening.
Local musician Music By Ella will provide the soundtrack, while Wallaroo fashion boutique Moda Bella will take things beyond the market stalls with a fashion parade.
There’ll also be kids’ activities and an art display, giving families plenty of reason to hang around.
Among the stallholders are Paper Daisy Handmade, UV Kids, Dayman Designs, Country Town Crafting, Copper Coast Candles and Nifty Little Knots.
Stansbury’s Lost Tide Spirit Co will be pouring local spirits, while Wallaroo’s own The Bond Store will have its craft beers on offer.
And bringing a particularly colourful addition to the launch is sewer Nathan Douglas Day, whose handmade overalls are hard to miss.
So whether it’s dinner and a drink, a bit of retail therapy, catching up with mates or somewhere to kick back and enjoy some live music on a Saturday night, Wallaroo might just have sorted the evening plans.
