A new look, a new name, and a stronger voice for Clare Valley businesses
The Clare Valley Business & Tourism Association (CVBTA) has rebranded as Valleys Business Network, kicking off a new chapter for local businesses across the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council area, including Riverton, Auburn, Saddleworth and Clare.
Chairperson Steve Brown, General Manager of Clare Country Club, said the new name reflects the association’s growth and inclusivity.
“The name Valleys Business Network is shorter, sharper and more inclusive of the diverse businesses we represent across the region,” Mr Brown said.
“Our focus is on building stronger connections, delivering value for our members, and ensuring local businesses have a voice.”
Free and paid membership options now on the table
Local businesses now have two ways to connect – free membership with basic benefits, or $115 per year for full membership, which opens the door to workshops, networking events, promotional exposure, and a spot on the new Valleys Business website.
The Association has also launched its new domain – valleysbusiness.com.au – with a member-focused site to roll out in the year ahead.
Workshops, networking and fresh direction for Valleys Business Network
Recent events have included workshops on smartphone photography and artificial intelligence, along with popular business mixers hosted by local operators. Strategic planning, supported by Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North, has also set clear priorities for the future.
The new committee for 2025 includes
- Chairperson – Steve Brown, Clare Country Club
- Vice Chair – Charles Grover, Clare Valley Wine Tours
- Treasurer – Rachal Bird, Main St Blooms
- Secretary – Nigelle-ann Blaser, Miss Gracie Taylors Preloved Books
- Committee Members – Tanya Williams (Williams + Co Conveyancing), Greg Cooley (Greg Cooley Wines), Nan Berrett (Word Solutions), Judy Searley (Cogwebs Hub Café), Chelsea Ashmeade (Ashmedia), Tim Davies (Clare Media)
Mr Brown said the Association was looking forward to the year ahead with “great momentum and exciting opportunities” for businesses across the valleys.
