Port Broughton Show ‘N’ Shine – A Favourite on the Coastal Calendar
There’s something about a country foreshore, polished chrome and the sound of old engines turning heads — and the Port Broughton Classic & Vintage Show ‘N’ Shine captures it perfectly.
Back by popular demand on Sunday, May 31 – if you’re looking for an easy, feel-good day out, this one ticks all the boxes.
The event isn’t your typical packed-out car show. It’s relaxed, open and coastal — classic and vintage vehicles lined across Port Broughton’s immaculate grassy foreshore. You can wander at your own pace, chat to owners, grab a bite to eat and soak in the vibes.
Now in its sixth year, the event has grown from a one-off celebration for the town’s 150th anniversary into a much-loved fixture on Barunga West Council’s calendar.
100 Gleaming Vehicles, Live Music and Yore Peninsula Donuts
Around 100 vehicles are expected this year, from well-kept classics to standout showpieces.
The foreshore display gives every vehicle its moment — including a few local favourites. Keep an eye out for one of the crowd favourites, a red 1966 Ford Mustang that’s featured regularly in the People’s Choice voting.
And if you have your own gleaming beauty you’d like to show off, entries are open until May 21.
It’s not just about the cars though.
Live acoustic music from Yorke Peninsula local JR Acoustic will set the tone. Broughton Mundoora Football Club will be firing up the BBQ. Add in YP Donuts and an ice cream van, and you’ve got all the essentials for a great day out.
