Murray Street Swings Into Party Mode at Gather Round
The footy might bring the crowds to the Barossa, but on Saturday, after the final siren has blown, it’s Tanunda’s Murray Street that’ll steal the show, with the Barossa Food and Wine Village swinging into party mode.
Kicking off from 3.30pm on Saturday April 11, and rolling into the evening, this is the kind of post-match set-up the Barossa does best.
Murray Street Opened Up And Ready To Go
Transforming into a full-blown village precinct, Murry Street’s local restaurants, cafés and cellar doors will spill out onto the street for alfresco dining, joined by pop-up vendors dishing up a mix of flavours from across the region.
It’s an open-access, fully accessible event, where you can wander through, grab something to eat, pick your poison, and settle in.
Food, Wine And A Spot To Stay A While
Wine lovers will be in for a treat, with a dedicated Wine Village pouring some of the Barossa’s best, while brewers and distillers will be on hand with craft beer, cocktails and spirits for those who like to mix things up.

There’ll be live entertainment across the night, with Adelaide indie-pop band The Tullamarines headlining, supported by local artists and DJ Alex Hosking. Plus, big screens will be showing the footy so you won’t miss any of the action.
Getting there is a cinch too, with post-game buses running from Lyndoch to Tanunda, along with return services from the Village through to Gawler Railway Station.
This all forms part of a packed Gather Round weekend in the Barossa, with events, markets, cellar door experiences and live music happening right across the region.
