Roll up, Roll up – Fringe Festival is headed to Coonawarra

Come alive among the vines for three days of Fringe Festival Fun at Coonawarra.
From February 16-18, SA’s oldest wine region, famous for its exquisite wines and stunning landscapes, will blend with Australia’s biggest art festival to bring the Fringe down south.
For three days only Coonawarra will be transformed into a Fringe extravaganza with a stellar lineup of international theatre, comedy and events, art, children’s activities, and walking trails.
Paired perfectly with delicious and world-renowned local food and wine, it’s a weekend not to be missed.
To kick off the festivities on Friday, head to DiGiorgio Family Wines as the sun sets on some hilarious entertainment, exploring the wine language with the award-winning show “Wine Bluffs”. The self-styled sommeliers of comedy, Damian Callinan (The Merger) and Paul Calleja (The Project) will take you through the cellar door experience with a comedic twist.

On Saturday, explore the Coonawarra Wineries Walking Trail, featuring entertainment at various cellar doors including Giri Show at Zema Estate- a magical, musical, and cinematic experience that pays homage to Italian classics, celebrating Italian popular singers and songwriters from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.

In the evening, Coonawarra Hall unveils ‘Watson: The Final Problem,’ starring BBC actor Tim Marriott. Based on Sherlock Holme’s sidekick, this gripping thriller was a sellout at Edinburgh Fringe 2022-2023.

Continue the Saturday night revelry at Coonawarra’s exclusive Fringe Club, the Red-room at Redman Wines. Pop on your dancing shoes to hit the floor downstairs in the wine cellar with a guest DJ spinning some of your favourites.

Wind up the weekend on Sunday at Bellwether Wines, where ‘Jacks Ashes’ unfolds—a touching and compelling performance that cricket and sports fans will love. Earning 4- stars at the Dark Chat Awards for Best Actor in a Play at the Edinburgh Fringe this performance is sure to win the hearts of everyone who has felt the pressure to ‘save the day’.
