SA Wineries Shine on the International Stage
South Australia’s famous Shiraz is taking centre stage in Bordeaux, France, the land of fancy wines! Our world-class Shiraz is wowing visitors at the incredible La Cité du Vin museum, a wine lover’s paradise.
This is a HUGE deal! Not only are thousands of people getting to taste our amazing Shiraz, but South Australian wineries are getting a chance to shine on the international stage.
With South Australia having a special pavilion at the museum, decked out in an autumn theme, it perfectly complements the rich, bold flavours of Shiraz.
Shiraz from South Australian wineries Kalleske, Ochota Barrels, and Patritti are currently available to ‘Via Sensoria’ visitors, with wines from other producers on route.
Additional SA wineries set to be showcased in the coming weeks include Anderson Hill, Brash Higgins, Dandelion Vineyards, Heirloom Vineyards, Mitolo, Penfolds, Penley Estate, Pindarie Wines, Redheads Wines, Rymill Coonawarra, Saint-Clar Estate, Thistledown, and Yalumba.
As well as South Australian shiraz being featured at ‘Via Sensoria’, Alkina Wine Estate, Patritti and Serafino Wines have also donated different varieties to be showcased in the ‘Belvedere’ tasting room at La Cité du Vin.
This is a fantastic opportunity to show the world why South Australia is a wine rockstar. Being a significant contributor to South Australia’s economy and a key tourism drawcard, the state produces half of the bottled wine and more than three-quarters of the nation’s premium wine.
We’ll drink to that!
