Forget the drama of “Farmer Wants a Wife” and the gamble of “Married at First Sight.” Love is calling, and this time, it’s “Country Speed Dating” at the Georgetown Pub on May 18 and 25.
Are you sick of ‘swiping left’ on endless profiles of photoshopped women or men holding fish? Or maybe the thought of dating apps makes you break out into a nervous sweat? Well, here’s your chance to dust off your best country threads because Cupid is heading to Georgetown.
“Country Speed Dating” is about real people and real connections. Why not bring a wingman and drag a single friend along for moral support? No need to worry about heckles from locals at the bar either. The hotel will be closed to the general public, with only speed-dating singles allowed.
The night is just $59, which includes two drinks and canapés to keep you fuelled for love, or at least topped up with Dutch courage to overcome those first-date jitters.
