Entries Open for ‘She Gets the Job Done’, the Free National Competition Celebrating the Women Behind Rural, Regional and Remote Australia
Where would we be without country women?
At Greater SA, we’ve had the privilege of sharing hundreds of stories about women making a difference across regional South Australia. Business owners, farmers, volunteers, health advocates, emergency service workers, community leaders and changemakers. They don’t do it for the recognition. They do it because they care about their communities.
That’s why we love the idea behind the National Rural Women’s Coalition’s She Gets the Job Done photography competition.
What is ‘She Gets The Job Done’?
The competition is looking for powerful images of women across rural, regional and remote Australia “getting the job done”. Whether it’s on the farm, in a small business, at the local school, in a hospital, volunteering or leading a community, the aim is to build a national collection celebrating the women who help country Australia thrive. Selected images will help tell those stories across the country, while photographers retain ownership of their work.
How To Enter
The “She Gets the Job Done” competition is free to enter and open to women living in rural, regional and remote Australia. And you don’t have to be an experienced photographer to enter. If you’ve captured a meaningful photo that celebrates a country woman, that’s exactly what this competition is all about.
Entries close on August 21 and selected photographs will receive $100. You can find the full competition details and submit your entry.
