A weekend of Riesling, live music, and lawnside celebrations in the Clare Valley
The Clare Valley knows a thing or two about Riesling, and for the past 25 years, O’Leary Walker has been right at the heart of it. This October, the award-winning winery is raising a glass to mark the milestone with a weekend full of wine, food, and live music at their Leasingham cellar door.
The story of O’Leary Walker started back in 2000, when long-time mates and seasoned winemakers David O’Leary and Nick Walker decided to strike out on their own. Both had spent years working for the big players in Australian wine, but wanted the freedom to make small-batch, high-quality wines that truly reflected the vineyard and the region. With premium sites in the Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills, they built a reputation for producing wines with strong regional character, especially Riesling, while also branching into reds, sparklings, and new seasonal releases.
Across the three day celebration, you’ll get the chance to taste-test the brand-new 2025 Riesling releases, grab a glass or two of your favourites, and settle in with small bites and platters on the front lawn, with arguably one of the best Clare Valley views. There’ll be live tunes from Andrew Easthope, plus lawn games and plenty of space for families, including the four-legged variety.
But this celebration isn’t all about Riesling – it also marks the launch of O’Leary Walker’s brand-new Hurtle Spritz, a summer-ready fizz designed to keep the celebrations rolling. Their full restaurant will also be open across all three days, with bookings highly recommended.
