A rare treat for Clare and Auburn with stores open for late night shopping
Open until 7pm on Friday December 15, shoppers have the opportunity to grab some last minute gifts, or for others, make a start.
With under two weeks until Christmas, it’s a great opportunity to support local businesses and keep regional towns buzzing. And buying from a small business is a gift in itself.
If you’re anything like me and start your Christmas gift wrapping with the eloquence and care of Rowan Atkinson’s character on the classic Christmas movie Love Actually, but half an hour later, find yourself in the depths of Christmas Paper hell, don’t despair, Carlee Johnson is at it again with her gift wrapping service “Drop and Run Wrapping Made Easy” which will be on hand Friday night at Ennis Park, in Clare’s Main Street. For a cash donation, Carlee will wrap your gifts with her exceptional paper skills. All proceeds of her efforts will go toward Backpacks 4 SA Kids, a charitable organisation who support newborns through to young people facing dislocation from their home, filling Backpack’s with practical and fun items.
To top it off, there’ll be a special treat for the young and young at heart with a visit from Father Christmas who will make a special appearance at Ennis Park from 4:30pm.
