Eyre Peninsula Women in Business “Inspiring Inclusion”

Melissa Smith

“Prepare to be inspired” at Port Lincoln International Women’s Day luncheon

Celebrating International Women’s Day, Eyre Peninsula Women in Business will host their biggest event for 2024 – a long lunch at Port Lincoln Hotel, “inspiring inclusion”.

In-line with the global theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, the March 8 event is a collaboration between Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and Eyre Peninsula Women in Business Network.

The luncheon, overlooking magnificent Boston Bay, includes a two-course meal and generous drinks package, live music throughout the afternoon, and a guest speaker panel of women opening up about their journeys through life and business and the unique challenges they’ve overcome along the way.
Travelling from Queensland to share her own inspirational story, is mum, wife and multi “7-figure” entrepreneur, Karen Brook. Karen is a world-renowned high performance success coach, helping clients to control their thoughts and will their own futures into existence.
“Most business owners want to earn money to give them the freedom to do the things that want to do. But they have very little time to find a solution. I’ll take the guesswork out of success and together we will formulate a plan to achieve everything you’ve ever wanted.”

Karen, who presents on stage globally will be speaking about the mum/wife work/life balance, and how we as women can savour every minute of our lives and take a giant leap in achieving our fantasy goals.

She has spoken on stage in front of 3,000 people and is one of Bob Proctor’s top one per cent consultants globally.

Organiser, Mia Chenoweth, said the group was honoured to have such a captivating and inspiring key note speaker.

“Prepare to be inspired in a room filled with like-minded individuals, committed to the empowerment of women,” she said.
“We can inspire inclusion by calling out poor practice, and when women aren’t present, asking “why not,” she said.
A silent auction will be held on the day, with funds raised being donated to Yarredi Services – a Port Lincoln based organisation, which since 1979 has been creating safe and respectful communities for women and children affected by domestic and Indigenous family violence.
