Burra Celebrates Tourism Triumph
Winners are grinners and it’s Burra’s time to shine! The little town with a big heart has just swept the Hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards, taking home not one, but TWO trophies!
Burra was crowned the 2024 Hello SA Tiny Tourism Town AND the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Other winners include Coober Pedy, awarded the Small Tourism Town title, and Victor Harbor was named the Top Tourism Town in South Australia.
To celebrate Burra’s double win, the town is throwing a party!
Join past and present locals, business owners, volunteers and the wider Burra community on Thursday, June 20 at Market Square for a free BBQ Lunch and raise a glass to the incredible people who make Burra a top tourist destination.
You’ll also get the lowdown on Burra’s prize, what this means for the town and learn about the next leg of the journey – the National Awards!
Also, partygoers can meet the new face of tourism, Belinda Heinrich – Regional Council of Goyder’s Tourism and Event Coordinator who will be there to chat and answer any questions about future tourism opportunities and initiatives.
