The roads into the little farming town flood with limousines, Hummers, and party buses — all converging trackside. It’s become an institution – and one the locals are even talking about immortalising in a silo-sized tribute!

If you want to turn up the fancy, the Barton Marquee offers classic silver service, while The Aviary is a nod to Flemington’s Birdcage, decked with DJs, gourmet eats, Taylors Wine and South Aussie beer.
Among the host of other trackside vantage points is the Finishing Post, where you can watch the horses thunder past the finishing post with a bevvy in hand (possibly poured by the lovely ladies from GSA). Or, grab a crew, pack the picnic basket and book a spot at the Trackside Picnic Table.
