Kies Family Wines have produced a little beauty that’s just taken out Best Sparkling Shiraz at the 2025 Great Australian Shiraz Challenge, officially making it the best in the country
“Cheers to You!” is crafted from 100 per cent premium Barossa shiraz – grown “out the back” of Kies’ Lyndoch cellardoor. The score of 95 points and a national title, has the close knit winemaking family absolutely buzzing.
“It is truly one of the hardest competitions to win, but this year we knew the Sparkling, Cheers To You! Shiraz, was special and the judges agreed,” said marketing manager, Jess Kies.

“Fittingly, the award-winning wine, Cheers to You! Sparkling Shiraz was created as a tribute to our loyal supporters.
Since we opened in 1985, our wines have been available through our cellar door only, not in the large bottle shops.
Generations of visitors from all over the world have supported Kies Family Wines, choosing to buy direct from the family rather than the big bottle shop chains.
Last year 64,000 visitors popped in – and for that we say cheers to you!”
