Kangaroo Islanders get ready to get your groove on, with an amazing line-up of talent warming up for a day of live music at Feelin’ Groovy on November 11.
Hosted by The Crew at Kingscote’s Studio 203 – the Island’s only purpose-built live music venue, Kangaroo Island musician Xavier Wadsworth and his band, Sacrificial Larynx, will join the amazing line-up and everyone’s invited.
Also joining the list of three awesome bands will be super-slick Adelaide band, Mums Favourite – plus high-energy, retro rockers The Sundials!
Mums Favourite perform blues/indie/rock originals that have seen them support top acts, such as Joe Camillieri and The Black Sorrows, Kingswood, Wolfmother, and Master’s Apprentices.
Formed in 2017, Mums Favourite offer a mix of retro vibes and youthful energy that will have everyone tapping their toes or busting a move.
Think vintage rock meets 1970s funk – and you’ve got The Sundials. They are explosive, bombastic, and utterly unique – with a sound that will also keep you movin’ and groovin’ all night long. Huge vocals, saxophone and the driving electric 12-string guitar create songs that are made to be jumped to.
Rapidly finding their unique niche in the music world are popular local three-piece, Sacrificial Larynx.
Drawing inspiration from multiple music genres – including thrash, pub rock, punk, and hardcore – there’s no standing still when this mob are playing. So be sure to wear your dancing shoes.
From Xavier’s harsh vocals (hence the band name) and lead guitar, to April’s fierce bass and Freddy’s energetic drumming, Sacrificial Larynx is sure to please.
This show is the third offering from The Crew at Studio 203 – following on from Southbound Musicfest in April and Off Shoots Local & Live in August.
Food and beverages will be provided by popular Kingscote eatery, Cactus. And with the last two shows a sell-out, you’d better get in quick and book your tickets.
