From the Bank Manager’s Desk to the home recording studio – Tiff Reynolds is back

By day, you’ll find Tiff Reynolds managing Kadina’s Commonwealth Bank. But behind the scenes — in the spare room of her family home on the Copper Coast — she’s tuning a guitar, chasing a dream that never really left.

At 35, Tiff is stepping back into the music spotlight, inspired by the drought-stricken farmland around her, and a burning desire to say to our farmers, “We see you.”

Before life brought her to the Copper Coast, teenage Tiffney was tearing up country music festivals across the nation — clocking up miles, awards and fans. She was a Telstra Road to Tamworth finalist and a three-time graduate of the Tamworth Camerata.

At 17,  Tiff Reynolds was a graduate of the CMAA senior country music college

But like a lot of young women, life had other plans. Marriage, babies, a move to Roxby Downs, and then setting up family life on the Copper Coast with her husband Geoff and two kids, Melissa and Michael. Music took a backseat. For a while.

Until a song she wrote at 17, while crossing a dry stretch of the Hay Plains, came flooding back. Back then, it was just words — a reflection on the stark contrast between her lush Adelaide Hills home and the desolate land stretched out before her. Now, living through SA’s brutal dry spell and working in a bank where she sees firsthand the toll it’s taking, those lyrics hit harder than ever.

“Let it rain, let it pour,
‘Cause I don’t know if I can do this anymore.”

Tiff’s working on recording that song — Let it Rain — in her spare room, just her and her guitar. She’s dreaming of a music clip that puts drought in the spotlight and a track on Spotify that lets farming families know they’re not alone.

A major turning point in her musical journey came with a recent diagnosis of ADHD — something Tiff says has completely changed the way she hears and experiences music.

The shift has given her a new kind of confidence — and a quiet determination to pick up where she left off. These days, she’s weaving music back into her life — playing the odd solo gig and performing with local band Tomorrow’s Horizon.
