19-Twenty and Dojo Rise lead the first wave for South Australia’s favourite rural music festival

The Caltowie Music Festival 2026 is ready to crank up the good times in the tiny Mid North town with Caltowie Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired up serving up a full day of live tunes on Saturday March 21, 2026.

Top tunes and local legends

The first round of artists is set to fire up the stage, with 19-Twenty from New South Wales leading the charge. This high-energy blues and roots trio hits like a freight train. Known for their wild live shows and foot-stomping sound, these Byron Bay Bluesfest regulars have built a global fanbase from Australia to Europe, blending raw blues, roots, and rock into a sound that’s impossible to stand still to.

Joining the line up are South Aussie favourites Dojo Rise, who are heading back to Caltowie in 2026 with an impressive upgrade – an eight-piece setup featuring backup singers and a horn section. Hailing from Aldinga, this reggae-soul-rock outfit has been tearing up stages across the country and racking up national airplay on Triple J and Double J.

With ten singles and three EPs already under their belt, Dojo Rise continue to push boundaries with their infectious sound. Whether headlining sold-out shows or bringing their signature feel-good festival energy to thousands, they’re fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting live acts, guaranteed to get the Caltowie crowd moving.

The good vibes keep rolling with South Australian bands Funk Me, The Fuss, and Surviving Sharks, bringing a mix of groove, soul, and straight-up rock energy to the lineup.

A festival with heart and community spirit

Festival organiser Ben VanBoekel says, “Every year we build on the energy and the community around this festival. It’s not just about the music – it’s about connection, having fun, and supporting mental health.”

Since launching in 2019, this homegrown festival has raised awareness and funds for mental health initiatives, creating a space where people can let loose, recharge, and reconnect. With live music, food vans, SA craft brews, wine and cocktail bars, non-alcoholic options, and on-site camping, the festival keeps the country charm alive while drawing crowds from across South Australia and beyond.

Early Bird Tickets go on sale from 11am Wednesday, October 15 until midnight Tuesday, November 18, with the Part 2 lineup (including the headline act) dropping on Wednesday, November 19.
