Pack Your Dancing Shoes – South Australia’s Most Unique Music Festival Is Back

One of South Australia’s most unique music festivals is heading back to the Riverland, with Sounds In The Quarry returning this November bigger than ever.

If you’ve been following the story of the Overland Corner Hotel’s revival, you’ll know owners Brad and Nicole Flowers have been breathing new life into one of South Australia’s oldest pubs. Now they’re preparing to welcome thousands of festival-goers back for what they’re expecting will be the biggest Sounds In The Quarry yet.

Sounds In The Quarry returns to the Riverland on November 14, bringing DJs from across Australia to the Overland Corner Quarry.

Presented by the Overland Corner Hotel and Riverland promoter SAREZ, the festival has grown every year since it began, attracting bigger crowds, bigger production and visitors from across Australia.

This year’s event features 24 artists performing across two massive stages, including the iconic Quarry Main Stage, set beneath towering fossilised limestone cliffs more than 150 million years old.

More Than Just A Music Festival

The quarry’s natural amphitheatre is what sets Sounds In The Quarry apart. Throw in lights, music and a crowd ready to dance, and it’s easy to see why people make the trip.

Brad Flowers said the event had exceeded everything they first imagined.

“When we first imagined holding an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) festival inside this incredible quarry, we knew it had the potential to become something special.

“Four years later, it’s incredible to see people travelling from all over Australia to experience live music in such a unique location. Teaming up with SAREZ again has allowed us to take the event to another level, and 2026 will undoubtedly be our biggest and best festival yet.”

Local promoter SAREZ said the venue itself played a huge role in creating the atmosphere.

“The energy this venue creates is unlike anywhere else. Every year we push the production, the artists and the experience even further, and this year we’re delivering our strongest line-up and biggest show to date.”

Tickets include free riverside camping, making it easy to turn Sounds In The Quarry into a full Riverland weekend.
