Gone are the days of whacking a plank of wood on a couple of 44 gallon drums and serving up beers at your special event – there’s a new mobile bar making its way around SA, and it’s a whole lot of fancy!
Adam Roocke has certainly set the bar high with his state-of-the-art luxury mobile bar service – the only one of its kind in the country. Set the Bar Hire pulls into your event looking a bit like a relocatable tiny house – and then the magic happens. Like something out of Transformers, the wondrous bar appears, complete with a two tap keg system, walk in cool room, under bench bar fridge, outdoor speaker and PA system and your very own shaded deck, fitted with bar tables and stools to sit back, have a cooldie and enjoy the fun.
Designed to cater for any event, whether it be in your own back yard, at a function space or plonked in the middle of a paddock, Set the Bar Hire brings the wow factor to any event, with the capacity to hydrate up to 200 guests. Packages can be tailor made depending on requirements – there’s a dry hire option for those wanting to stock their own beverages, or a complete service with icy cold brews ready to go and bar staff to do the pouring.
Roocke, originally from Booleroo Centre, has left no stone unturned when designing the luxe mobile bar service. A man of many talents – he has a business in the construction industry and is an elite wheelchair athlete, having played basketball on a national level for over a decade, before switching to footy and taking out the 2024 league Best and Fairest award for the Nova SANFL wheelchair football league.
Keen to have a crack at something that hasn’t been done before in Australia, he came up with the concept for Set The Bar Hire, and those lucky enough to have experienced it already, have been in awe.
“People are quite overwhelmed by the actual scale of it,” he said. “It’s something you can’t really fathom until you’re actually sitting in the bar, looking out at the views, enjoying a drink.”
“Australia has some of the most scenic landscapes in the world and this gives customers the option of being able to enjoy them from the comfort of a fully functional outdoor bar setting, it is unlike any other mobile bar we have available here already.”
