Stars, Stories, and Sacrifice – Quorn Silo Light Show Honors Anzac Day Heroes
The Quorn Silo is shining a light on local Anzac heroes with a special projection, “Anzac Reflections – Lest We Forget”, paying tribute to the men and women from Quorn and the surrounding areas who served in World War I.
More than a history lesson, community members have provided stories and photographs of family members, making this a moving tribute to locals who made the ultimate sacrifice. Projected onto the giant silo every night up until April 28, there’ll be special dawn screenings at 5:30am and 5:40am on Anzac Day itself.
This is just the first chapter of “Anzac Reflections”, with the project eventually being expanded to honour all veterans, becoming a permanent fixture on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
The Quorn Silo Light Show offers more than just a poignant tribute. It’s a free, nightly event under the stars, showcasing the beauty of the Flinders Ranges, the historic Pichi Richi Railway, and local stories. Pack a picnic, bring a chair or settle in your car, and tune in to FM 87.6 for the soundtrack to witness this award-winning installation.
