New “Barossa Creative Industries Centre” to be a hub for all things artistic

The Barossa Valley, famous for its delicious wines and stunning scenery, is about to get a whole lot more cultured with the Barossa Regional Gallery getting a multi-million dollar upgrade, transforming it into the swanky “Barossa Creative Industries Centre.”

This state-of-the-art, $13.92 million precinct will be a hub for all things creative with shiny new performance spaces, art studios, workshops, and even broadcasting and production suites.

The aim is to turn Tanunda into a hotspot for creatives, both locally and internationally.

The best part is that the planning is already done, and with generous government funding, construction is expected to take about 18 months, wrapping up in late 2025.

This project has been a long time coming, with the local council working closely with the community to make sure this new centre reflects what the Barossa is all about. Mayor Lange is excited about the development, saying it’ll be a “cultural beacon” that showcases the best the Barossa has to offer.

So, if you’re looking for a place to unleash your inner artist, or just want to check out some cool new exhibits, keep your eye on the Barossa Creative Industries Centre as it transforms into something special.
