Field Days catwalk to showcase Artyculture Fashion

South Aussie fashionistas, listen up! Whether you’re good with a needle and thread or a whiz on a welder or staple gun, the Eyre Peninsula Field Days is inviting you to bring your best ‘Artyculture’ outfit to the country catwalk.
The biennial Eyre Peninsula Field Days will be held in Cleve from August 13-15, with 10,000 visitors expected to walk through the gates to check out more than 400 exhibitors, showcasing agricultural supplies, services and technology, as well as pavilions brimming with produce and products from the rural lifestyle sector. Country clothing, jerky, jewellery and gin, you name it – the Cleve Field Days will have a stall for it.
Fashion has always had its place at the Field Days – with country labels, pure wool products or regional clothing stores gracing the catwalk. But this year, you could be sending one of your very own unique designs for a stroll on the runway, with the chance to also pocket some cash.
The Artyculture competition is open for all ages to showcase their rare up-cycled and recycled fashion pieces. Think out-of-the-box, environmentally-friendly, totally wearable or only-to-be-seen on the Artyculture runway.
Whether you’re up-cycling pre-loved fashion or hitting up the yellow bin or scrap heap for some “good as new” materials, this is your chance to make a statement with sustainable fashion.
Got an abundance of dog food bags waiting to be recycled? Turn them into a dog-lovers dream dress. Anything from shed junk, dump junk or the curtains hanging in your window, could miraculously be transformed into cash, after you literally strut your “stuff” and make a sustainable fashion statement.
