A full weekend of racing, aerobatics and trackside camping returns to Mallala Motorsport Park

Mallala is set to erupt with two days of V8 thunder and warbird flyovers. After almost two decades, Mallala Homecoming 2025 brings back national-level racing with a weekend full of noise, nostalgia and trackside action.

Happening on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November, the old RAAF base will be filled with everything from muscle cars to warbirds. The Trico TransAm Series will lead the way, serving up the kind of V8 thunder fans haven’t heard at Mallala in years. Formula Ford is back too – the class that helped launch the careers of Lowndes, Whincup, Ingall and a stack of Aussie motorsport legends.

Up above, Paul Bennet Airshows are bringing some of Australia’s most skilled display pilots and high-performance aerobatic aircraft to Mallala Homecoming. The iconic CAC Wirraway returns to the same skies it flew 65 years ago, joined by the Wolff Pitts Pro, Zivko Edge and the Sky Aces formation team for high-energy aerobatics that will have everyone scrambling for the perfect shot.

On the ground, fans will get a full spread of classic favourites. HQ Holdens, Circuit Excel, SuperSports and drifting and burnout demos keep the smoke, noise and tyre squeals pumping through both days. A special Gary Rogers tribute also hits the track, with his Bathurst-winning Commodores and Monaros back where they belong.

For the full experience, trackside camping is on offer for the weekend. Throw the swag in the ute, grab a prime fence spot, tune into live commentary on 100.9FM and settle in for two huge days where Mallala’s past, present and future all collide.

This one is loud, proud and a pure Mallala event you won’t want to miss.
