Louise Adams to play at Robe Boat Show

It’s home to one of the newly hailed top ten beaches in Australia, and this weekend, the stunning seaside town of Robe will showcase its beauty and community spirit at the 14th annual Robe Boat Show.

It’ll be a superb Summer weekend, with a huge display of eye candy for boating and four wheel driving enthusiasts, and a glorious spread of local food, delicious drinks and entertainment for all.

The longest running event in Robe, this year’s Boat Show is an extra special celebration, as founding organiser, Jamie Aitken, puts the finishing touches on his final event, handing over the reins to Chris Matthew.

Passionate about Robe and the event that has attracted thousands of people to his home town over the years, Jamie has ensured that his final show “will be a real beauty”.

As well as some drool worthy cars and boats, there’ll be a line-up of caravans, off road vehicles and a display of Ag equipment, and plenty of room on the foreshore to sit back and look over the bay and dream about your perfect set up.

While you’re there you can enjoy one of the many wines on offer from local wineries including Woodsoak Wines and Mount Gambier’s Good Intentions Wines. The crew from St Mary’s Wines will also be serving up wine and cocktails using their whisky, gin and award-winning Rum, and there’ll be plenty of amber fluid to choose from, with Robe Town Brewery bringing the beer.

There’s also a great spread of food including Vietnamese, Strawberries Galore, the Lions Club’s bbq and “the best fish and chips on the coast”, according to Jamie, from Robe Fresh Seafood.

The entertainment line-up across the two-day event is phenomenal. On Saturday, Robe’s very own Limestone Americana will be playing from 12-3pm and for Jamie’s big Grand Finale on Sunday, An eight-piece band led by Australia’s top female vocalist on The Voice, the sensational Louise Adams.

With Summer drawing to an end, the Robe Boat Show is the perfect way to soak it up and enjoy an affordable, family-friendly weekend on the Limestone Coast.
