Say hello to “Shop Clare Valley” the fresh face of CVBTA’s social media presence
The Clare Valley Business and Tourism Association (CVBTA) is turning up the heat on its mission to promote local businesses with a new twist!
While the name “Shop Clare Valley” might be new, the commitment is stronger than ever to bring a spotlight to the businesses that make the Clare Valley shine.
At the heart of this project is Heather Hean, the dedicated Secretary of the CVBTA since 2021. Heather is not just a member of the team, she’s a cheerleader for all local businesses, passionately driving the Association’s social media efforts. Recognising the need for more effective promotion, Heather launched a new Instagram page and breathed new life into the existing Facebook platform. Through these channels, she shares posts and stories that feature the huge range of businesses within the Clare Valley.
Heather’s connection to the region runs deep. With many years of living and working in Clare Valley—apart from a decade-long stint in Western Australia—she brings a deep understanding of the local community to her work. And her mission is clear – to ensure that every business, no matter how small, not only survives but thrives in today’s competitive market.
For businesses that join the CVBTA, the benefits are brilliant. Members receive a warm welcome post on the Shop Clare Valley social media pages, a featured Member Business of the Week post every year, up to three-story shares per week, and an annual ‘Thursday Tip of the Week’ opportunity to share unique insights about their business. Additionally, the Association offers spontaneous sharing of member posts on Facebook and Instagram to keep the momentum going.
