Step Inside the Big Top as Harrington Circus Tours Country South Australia
There’s still something truly magical about a circus, especially when the big top goes on tour in regional South Australia.
Bringing colour, laughter and old-fashioned family entertainment, the Harrington Circus Show is rolling in with a cast of talented performers led by Australia’s friendliest clown, Kano the Clown.
While clowns can be a little frightening for some, Kano quickly wins over audiences with his warm personality, comedy and crowd interaction. As a fifth-generation circus performer, you could say clowning around is in his blood.
The touring circus is about to kick off a run of shows in Berri before heading to the Clare Valley, where demand has been so strong an extra performance has already been added. From there, the team will juggle their way to Port Pirie and a string of shows across the Eyre Peninsula before continuing west towards Esperance.

Audiences can expect all the excitement of a traditional circus, just under a more intimate big top. The show features a mix of high-energy aerial acts, daring Chinese pole performances, jaw-dropping contortionists, juggling, comedy, cloud swing artists and the mesmerising Spanish web.
It’s colourful, fast-paced and packed with plenty of laughs, creating an experience that’s just as entertaining for adults as it is for children.
Affordability is something the Harrington Circus team is passionate about, with the aim of making live entertainment accessible for families and regional communities.
Family Fun Starts Before the Show
The fun starts well before the show itself, with circus-goers invited to arrive up to an hour early to enjoy a mini fun fair featuring carnival games, show bags and the chance to meet some of the performers before they take to the ring.
And it seems South Australians are embracing the circus just as warmly as the circus has embraced South Australia. So much so, the team’s second touring production, Circus Arlo, is already planning a return visit to the state next year.
