Gleeson Collective creates ‘hot spot’ office spaces for Clare Valley

Greater SA

There’s never been a better time for country people to find success in their own business.
The landscape has changed when it comes to earning income, and skills are being used to create unique opportunities for Regional SA.
To fill a void for the growing number of home-based businesses and rural services, Gleeson Collective has created a collaborative office space where there’s plenty of entrepreneurial magic happening.
Opened in January, the 1870’s cottage in the heart of Clare, has been fully renovated and transformed into a bright business hub to accommodate a growing need for more office space in the region.
The creator behind Gleeson Collective, Cassie Fuller, mixes farm life with her career as a professional Draftsperson and Valuer, but has previously struggled to find an office space that suited her needs affordably.
She purchased the old Gleeson Street printmaker’s cottage, and with the help of her husband Leigh, spent all of 2022 transforming the building into an 8-office workspace, with a host of shared space Hot Desks, a board room, meeting room, and communal kitchen. And the office-less entrepreneurs, juggling work-from-home and balancing laptops on their car dashboards, quickly moved in on the much-needed space.

Gleeson Collective is now the business home of financial planners, Vestra Wealth, Play Therapy with Jodie, Government based financial counsellors from Rural Business Support, Inval Property, and Nadinne Grace Photography.
Cassie said there was a real movement in regional areas for people putting their skills out there and having a go at different things, especially women and those out in farming areas.
“Living on a farm out of town and knowing the time that is spent running in and out of town or waiting around in Clare – now there’s a space where you can sit down, have access to fast and reliable Wi-Fi there’s a charging station, tea and coffee and we’ll soon be setting up screens that people can connect to,” she said.
“Clare was definitely ready for a space like Gleeson Collective.”
For $40 a day, the Hot Desks are ideal for students, travelers, or anyone needing a designated working space, close to some of Clare’s best Coffee shops!
The board room can be hired for meetings and is a great space for anyone looking to host a workshop, or there’s a smaller meeting room available, suitable for up to five people.
