FarmFest Brings Music, Laughs and a Good Cause to Naracoorte
If your Easter weekend needs a plan, Naracoorte’s got you covered! FarmFest is taking over the town square Saturday night with live music, comedy, food and drinks, all raising funds for Are You Bogged Mate and the work they do getting country blokes talking, checking in on their mates, and tackling mental health and suicide in the bush.
Music, Comedy And A Night In The Square
Triple J artist Bella Deer will open from 5:30pm, before comedian Dave O’Neil takes the mic as MC for the night, as well as delivering his own set, alongside Brad Oakes from 6:40pm.
Closing things out are The Whitlams – the Sydney-based band that shot to fame in the late 90s and early 2000s with songs like ‘No Aphrodisiac’ and ‘Blow Up the Pokies’.
Food, Drinks And A Good Night Sorted
There’ll be plenty of food to choose from, including pizzas, steak sandwiches, Vietnamese, hot chips, donuts and grazing boxes. You can wash it all down with local wines from Eight at the Gate and Wangolina, plus beer and spirits from the volunteer-run bar.
It’s set up as a relaxed, all-in space, where you can bring along a chair or a rug in and settle in for the night. The event is fenced and ticketed, with access via Smith Street and Bank Place, and parking available around nearby streets, including Riverside Drive.
Families are well covered too, with face painting and twisted balloons on offer for the little ones, while mum and dad kick back for a drink, a feed and a night of music and laughs.
The event is presented by Farm Finance Co, with major sponsors PPHS and Thomas Foods backing the night, alongside support from Naracoorte Lucindale Council, with all proceeds going to Are You Bogged Mate.
