Welcome to the Farmer Wants a Wife Reunion 2026, where I sit through it all so you don’t have to. You’re welcome.

For the grand finale of the show we all love to hate, we saw tears, giggles, pashing, declarations of love, declarations of baby-making, awkward confessions on the couch, and enough cringey highlight reels to make me question why I stuck with this season.

Filmed just a month after the cameras stopped rolling, it seems everyone was still putting on brave faces.

Fast forward to today and, if the gossip magazines are to be believed, it’s a completely different story!

But I’ll get to that later.

We opened with the classic farmer drama music and host Nat looking stunning in red while the fellas caught up over a few coldies.

At this rate, if they don’t walk away with a wife, they’ll leave with a drinking problem.

Apple A Day Farmer Zac

First to brave the Chesterfield of Truth were Apple A Day Farmer Zac and Maya.

No surprises here. Channel 7 had already spoiled the ending in the reunion promos by showing the pair cuddled up together before the episode had even aired. Well done dickheads.

After choosing Maya, she headed back to South Australia where Zac showed her around the Adelaide Hills before he returned the favour with a trip to Melbourne to meet her family.

The producers reminded them not to sit too close together on the Chesterfield of Truth until Nat had asked her questions.

“So… where’s the spark?” Nat asked.

“The spark has ignited into a flame,” Zac replied.

They cuddled, giggled and looked genuinely smitten. They’re awkward, they’re dorky, they’re forever laughing at each other and, dare I say it… They look like they’re actually in love.

Farmer J-Rad

Next onto the Chesterfield of Truth were Farmer J-Rad and Bobby Pin Brodie.

We were treated to another montage of pashing, “connections” and that weird little cry he did when he admitted he was “falling in love” with her.

After choosing Brodie, they visited each other’s families, she met his boys, mowed his lawns, cruised the Murray River and generally slotted into Riverland life pretty well.

Judging by the amount of knee-clutching on the Chesterfield of Truth, things were still heading in the right direction.

“It’s early days,” they both agreed.

As for the future? Well… J-Rad made it pretty clear he’d like to bang out some more kids and spread a few more nuts around the almond farm.

Holy Moly Farmer Alex

Then it was time for Holy Moly Alex and Lock-It-In Eddy to take their seats.

We relived the Lovisa necklace moment and the awkward scene of Eddy saying “Grace” at dinner, which made Alex’s balls recoil to his kidneys. Talk about a turn-off.

We relived the moment Alex declared his love for Eddy, with her replying, “I really care about you.” #awks

And from that moment on, we all knew this relationship would last as long as Cowboy Dylan on a bronc.

Alex somehow convinced himself none of it mattered because he had tunnel vision for Eddy. Never mind the giant value gap, the religion gap and the fact she looked like she’d rather be anywhere else.

Once the cameras stopped rolling, Eddy got the ick. Maybe it was the mullet. Maybe it was the intensity. Maybe she simply realised she’d accidentally signed up for Question Time.

Turns out she’d broken up with Alex over a ten-minute video call while she was at work, and old mate was DIRTY.

They couldn’t have sat further apart on the Chesterfield of Truth if they tried.

Apparently they went on a road trip together after filming, but judging by Eddy’s version of events, that went about as well as a fart in a spacesuit.

She explained he was deep and intense, while she was more “go-with-the-flow”. The religion stuff became too hard, there were too many compromises and, in the end, they simply weren’t compatible..

Alex, however, had approximately 57 follow-up questions.

Nat tried to wrap things up.

“I’ve got plenty more,” Alex fired back.

You could almost hear Nat shitting her knickers as she glanced sideways at the producers.

This bloke wasn’t leaving until he got some answers. Or his Lovisa mother-of-pearl knock-off necklace back.

Alex kept debating timelines, effort and why Eddy hadn’t tried harder to make it work.

Mate…She just wasn’t into you.

She wasn’t into you when you picked her either, but what’s a girl supposed to do?

Alex wanted a wife because, well… that’s literally the name of the show.

Eddy wanted to take things slowly.

I’ll give Alex one thing though, he wore his heart on his sleeve.

Meanwhile, Eddy looked like she was searching for the emergency exit and about to yell out her safe word so someone would rescue her.

Hairy Dairy Farmer Jason

Hairy Dairy Farmer Jason was next.

Poor bugger had to relive the fact that half his sister-wives walked out on him before he even got the chance to dump them.

Then Australia had to relive the greatest mystery of the season…

Why on earth he picked No Kids Poppy.

Poppy packed up her excruciatingly ugly dog and her sports car and headed to Kingaroy for a while to test the waters.

She still hadn’t dropped the L-word because, in her words, “you can’t fall in love in five weeks.”

Poppy took her place on the Chesterfield of Truth, nervously laughed and confirmed they were still together, admitting she’d met Jason’s kids and loved them and the chaos. #bullshit

Jason…

I’m still not convinced she likes you.

Nat asked how the romance was going.

Poppy nervously licked her lips before explaining she’d wanted an outdoor setting to admire the sunset on Jason’s big deck. Jason made that happen, and he’d even made her a little charcuterie board.

“…which we’ll work on,” she laughed.

Listen Poppy….Jason didn’t know what a charcuterie board was before this show.

He would’ve bunged some Kabana, Twiggy Sticks, Bega cheese and Jatz on a plate like every other farmer in Australia.

Mind you, I don’t usually rate a relationship by the quality of a bloke’s cheese platter.

Each to their own.

Cowboy Dylan

Last onto the Chesterfield of Truth was Cowboy Dylan, complete with a belt buckle big enough to eat dinner off.

Seriously…How do you even sit down wearing one of those things?

We relived Ally’s dramatic exit from the farm, the infamous Black Tie Dinner balcony pash and Dylan declaring his love.

“It was like fireworks in my gutz went off. I was stoked aye… proper happy.”

Never change Dylan, you adorable bogan.

After filming, Ally headed back to the Adelaide Hills, patted a few horses, joined Dylan on a road trip to a rodeo interstate and, unlike Alex and Eddy, seemed to enjoy travelling together.

Dylan admitted he gets up at three, goes to bed at eight and works every waking minute.

He knows he’s asking a lot.

No shit, mate.

When Ally appeared, she strategically sat at the opposite end of the Chesterfield of Truth.

Nice try, Channel 7. You nearly had us, you tricky little tricksters.

Turns out it was all for dramatic effect because Ally announced she’d packed her bags and was moving to Adelaide!

“I’m keen as,” Dylan grinned.

“It’ll be real good.”

Ally said she was lucky enough to have the “freedom” to move.

Translation…

She’s got no job and gonna sponge off Dyls for a bit. #winwin

Cowboy Dylan reckons he’s found his wife and couldn’t look happier.

The night wrapped up with group hugs, one last slow dance and all the farmers giving their romantic voiceovers about finding love.

Well…Almost all of them. Funnily enough, Alex and Eddy were nowhere to be seen. My bet is Alex rolled her in the car park to get his necklace back.

The Real Farmer Wants a Wife Reunion

Now for the juicy bits. If the gossip mags got their facts right then this is the real update!

No Kids Poppy reportedly dumped Hairy Dairy Farmer Jason not long after the reunion aired, while J-Rad and Bobby Pin Brodie’s future is looking pretty shaky, with rumours he’s given her the flick and slid into eliminated contestant Kyiah’s DMs.

Cowboy Dylan and Ally have reportedly ridden off into separate sunsets too, despite looking loved up on the Chesterfield of Truth.

The only couple everyone seems to agree on?

Apple A Day Farmer Zac and Maya.

After an entire season of picnic blankets, sister-wives, cheese platters, pashing and approximately 47,000 references to “connection”, it looks like the awkward apple farmer come electrician come plumber, who giggled his way through every episode, might be the only bloke who actually found a wife.

And that’s it for Farmer Wants a Wife 2026.

Until next season… this fully qualified farmer’s wife is officially signing off.
