Music, Food, and Fun at Eyre Peninsula’s SALT Festival
The SALT Festival on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula is a ten-day explosion of art, innovation, and ideas. It’s a platform for artists, creators, and thinkers to showcase their work, connect with others, and spark new ideas.
Whether you’re interested in visual arts, music, sustainability, or simply the power of human connection, the 40-plus events of the SALT festival will have something you can’t resist.
Once again, the ‘SALT Stage’ will be bringing the community together, headlined this year, by hometown legend Nick Cunningham. With his musical, storytelling magic, he’ll be joined on stage by a host of other local talent for a showstopping performance on April 26.
This year’s festival includes workshops, artist talks, as well scrumptious food offerings like “Upwelling, Seafood Symposium” created by renowned chef, Marion Trethewey. Meanwhile, the children will be kept busy with a host of kid-friendly experiences including nature play and underwater explorations.
Performances throughout the festival include “The Sunshine Club” musical and the talented Jen Lush and her stellar band will hit the stage with songs crafted around modern Aussie Poetry. Green Thumbs can learn all about sustainable community gardens from legendary ABC Gardening Guru Sophie Thomson and interactive experiences like ‘Light Beats’, where you’re guided to create a spectacular sound and light show, promises fun for the whole family.
This is just a taste of what’s on offer at this unique celebration and gathering of incredible South Aussies.
With so much to see, do and be part of, you won’t want to miss a dash of SALT this May.
