Mt Gambier Christmas Parade
Get ready to step into a magical wonderland as Commercial Street in Mount Gambier transforms during the much-anticipated AAM Timber Mount Gambier Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 18 at 11:00 am.
The excitement kicks off early with the Lions Club Blue Lake Brass Band Festival, featuring a street march at 9:00 am on Commercial Street East. The festive atmosphere will continue to build as the massed march takes to the streets, starting from the Old Town Hall and making its way to Crouch Street at 10:15 am.
The main event, the AAM Timber Christmas Parade, launches at 11:00 am and has over 50 entries, including two new floats.
Adding a creative touch, the Mount Gambier Scout Group will be walking new chalk floats down Commercial Street, handing out colorful pavement chalk for families to enjoy.
Following the parade, there will be a chance to catch Father Christmas at the Rotary Club of Mount Gambier West’s ‘Party in the Park’ event at the Cave Garden/Thugi. The celebration will feature live performances, food and drinks, and entertainment for the kids.
The Brass Bands Festival will continue from 1pm with a concert at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre.
