Gravity and Other Myths defy limits with World-Class Acrobatics, Music and Magic

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to master an extraordinary skill, Ten Thousand Hours by Gravity & Other Myths (GOM) will show you. This internationally acclaimed Adelaide-based circus company is bringing its mind-blowing show to regional South Australia.

Fresh from wowing audiences around the globe, including a standout run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, GOM is set to land in Whyalla, Port Pirie, Renmark, and Mount Gambier with a performance that’s equal parts heart-stopping and heartwarming.

Ten Thousand Hours is a tribute to dedication, hard work, and the sheer thrill of pushing human limits. With eight world-class acrobats and a live percussionist setting the beat, this show goes beyond circus tricks—it’s a breathtaking blend of acrobatics, movement, and contemporary dance that showcases just how much blood, sweat, and time goes into achieving mastery.

And while the flips, tumbles, and human pyramids will have you gasping, it’s the raw honesty of the show that sets it apart. This isn’t just about defying gravity – it’s about celebrating the human body and its potential.

“We love the idea of pouring time and energy into something and seeing where it takes us—whether it’s acrobatics, learning to walk, or tying your shoes.”
GOM co-founder Lachlan Binns said

“We’re thrilled to finally be able to bring one of our new shows to the regions of South Australia. We spend so much time overseas touring the world and it’s so rare for us to be able to share the fun with audiences right on our doorstep.”

Critics have been raving about Ten Thousand Hours, which debuted at the 2023 Adelaide Fringe.
