Victor, Normy or Robe? It’s time to vote for 2025 hello SA People’s Choice Top Tourism Town

Three of South Australia’s most loved coastal towns are in the running for the 2025 hello SA People’s Choice Top Tourism Town Award – and it’s time to have your say!

Whether you’ve steamed into Victor Harbor on board the Cockle Train, paddled in the pristine waters at Normanville, or spent a lazy weekend soaking up the salty charm of Robe – you know how special these towns are. These three coastal gems are already winners in their own right, but now it’s your chance to show them some love.

Victor Harbor isn’t just a top tourism town – it’s an institution. With Granite Island, penguin tours, horse-drawn trams and the Bluff giving you front row seats to the Southern Ocean, it’s where memories are made.

On the opposite side of the Fleurieu, Normanville, which took this year’s gong for small tourist town, gives off more of a quiet resort town vibe, with turquoise water and long stretches of sandy beach. You could be forgiven for expecting to run into John Palmer and Alf Stewart out the front of the new Normy surf club!

And then there’s Robe. Laid-back, effortlessly stylish, and with some of the best seafood and coastal vibes in the state.

This is the fifth year of the hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards, which celebrate the amazing visitor experiences across SA. Let’s be honest – people don’t fly here to see the Mall’s Balls. They come for our character-filled towns, salty air, and country hospitality.

“South Australia’s regional towns are the heart of our state’s tourism appeal, attracting thousands of  visitors each year thanks to their offering of unique experiences, rich heritage and warm hospitality,”  said LGA Chief Executive Officer, Clinton Jury.

“I congratulate Victor Harbor, Normanville and Robe on their nomination for this award – all three destinations are incredibly popular tourism towns and hold a special place for many South Australians and visitors alike.”

So who gets your vote? The iconic? The charming? The sophisticated seafood paradise?

Voting opens Sunday 11 May and closes Sunday 25 May. Cast your vote and you could win a voucher worth over $600 for an SA council-run caravan park, thanks to LGA SA.
