Monarto’s latest attraction takes wildlife holidays to the next level

Have you wondered what it would be like to wake up to the sound of Africa’s wildest animals on your doorstep…?

Well, you will be able to do this soon when the incredible Monarto Safari Resort opens its doors to the public, providing another unique attraction to the state and giving visitors more reasons to choose SA as their next holiday.

Imagine hearing the roar from Australia’s largest lion pride and the herd of the newest elephants that have arrived at the Monarto Safari Park!

When the iconic multimillion-dollar Monarto Safari Resort opens its doors to the public at the end of May, it will create memories that last a lifetime with guests being treated to an out-of-this-world experience in luxury accommodation with a taste of Wild Africa.

You’ll be able to view native and exotic animals within metres of the resort, and what makes it extra special is that you’ll get to experience some of the World’s most iconic endangered species, such as southern white rhinoceros, cheetah, hippopotamus, zebra and giraffes.

The resort will have 78 guest rooms in the hotel and 20 luxury tents in the safari lodge. It will feature a spa with treatment rooms, two pools, a thermal plunge pool, an ice bath, a sauna, conference facilities, and restaurants in a park so big it could fit every major Australian zoo and still have land left over.

Premium safari tours will be available for resort guests. These tours will use custom safari vehicles to explore the plains at dawn and dusk among free-roaming herds of African animals.

Journey Beyond will operate the Monarto Safari Resort, and Zoos South Australia chief executive Elaine Bensted fully supported the partnership.

“Journey Beyond’s extensive knowledge of regional tourism, coupled with a strong focus on sustainability and conservation, will ensure the resort will become a premier destination for nature enthusiasts,” she said.

Executive general manager of Journey Beyond, David Donald said that it would offer guests a unique wildlife experience in their natural habitats.

“I invite you to stay wild, the resort is nestled within Monarto Safari Park and Wild Africa precincts, situated in the heart of the picturesque Murraylands offering breathtaking waterhole views and an unparalleled escape into nature’s embrace,”

“It is more than a hotel, it is an opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic wildlife experiences.

“Here, you can connect with wild Africa, witness the beauty of diverse species and indulge in the serenity of your surroundings, making your stay a truly unforgettable adventure.”

The Monarto Safari Resort is open to the public on May 28 with bookings for the resort open from February 3.
