Trucks, tractors, bobcats and emergency vehicles – get up close with big rigs at Freeling’s Touch A Truck day

Honk honk! Get excited for the return of Touch A Truck Day at The FARM Centre in Freeling! After a successful inaugural event in 2023, the bi-annual extravaganza is back, promising even more excitement for families and young machinery lovers.

On Sunday, March 23, The FARM Centre will be rolling in the big wheels, for eager explorers to get up close with trucks and tractors, old and new. Emmetts will be showcasing a fleet of iconic green John Deere tractors—and local haulers, Shanahans, will be stopping in with some shiny rigs to check out. Light Regional Council will add to the diverse range of machinery, and there’ll be bobcats and special displays of vehicles with red and blue flashing lights!

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Rainbow Animal Farm is setting up a petting zoo featuring goats, piglets, chickens, lambs, and more, offering hands-on animal interactions. There’ll also be jumping castles, face painting, and a free sausage sizzle to keep little engines fuelled up, as well as The Farm Centre’s fully-stocked cafe.

A ‘Sensory Friendly Zone’ will be available from 1 pm to 2 pm, providing a quieter environment with no horn honking or loud music. A dedicated sensory room will also be accessible for children with special needs, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone.

It’s just a gold coin donation for entry, with proceeds supporting the Belgravia Foundation’s ‘Teen Night Out’ program, an initiative offering local teens free activities, meals, transportation, and access to youth counsellors and support.
