Aussie music legends headline first Granite Rocks Festival at Wudinna on the Eyre Peninsula
Granite Rock’s headlining band The Screaming Jets, has been an enduring Aussie Rock entity for the past 30 years.
Arguably the 90s was one of the best decades for Australian Music and the five blokes from Newcastle, led by singer Dave Gleeson went on to become Aria award-winning performers three times over and considered by some as the “Last Great Pub Rock Band” in Australia.
Joining the Jets in Autumn on the EP are a host of performers ready to rock the Granite including Green Day tribute band Basket Case and Funky Monks, delivering funky jams and slap bass with hard-hitting drums as they get the crowd pumping with the best of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers tunes.
Local EP rockers ‘Outnumbered’ hit the stage for their very first festival. The five-piece band formed in 2022 has spent the last couple of years getting some runs on the board, playing pubs, parties and footy clubs across the Eyre Peninsula.
This family-friendly event is not only delivering classic rock but some chilled-out acoustic which promises a memorable day of live performances under the open skies.
Local food and drink vendors served up with Wudinna’s community spirit will make this inaugural festival the perfect blend of music and regional culture. Plus, it’s guilt-free fun with a percentage of every ticket going toward supporting the Royal Flying Doctor’s Service – a vital service for Wudinnians and other regional South Australians.
So what are you waiting for? Take advantage of the on-site campground or stay at nearby accommodation and plan a trip to the west for an unforgettable time at Ag Town of the Year, “Wonderful Wudinna”.
