The epic Eyre Peninsula is gearing up to host another massive Streaky Sounds Music Festival on the March long weekend.
Building on the success of its inaugural year, the event nominated as a 2023 SA Tourism Awards finalist, is set to make waves once again in 2024 with a stellar lineup of artists from across the country.
The seaside town of Streaky Bay will transform into a pumping powerhouse of premier live music and family-friendly entertainment.
Amongst the line-up to hit the stage is homegrown talent, Nick Cunningham, whose incredible rendition of Aussie anthem “Land Down Under” went viral on the 2023 season of The Voice. Local vocalist, Dakota, will also bring mellow vibes with some of your favourite covers, and to help welcome the crowd, another well-known local band, The Regulars, will reunite to help get the EP party started.
The musical magic will continue throughout the afternoon and into the night, as Australia’s original Red Hot Chilli Peppers tribute band, Funky Monks, heat up the stage, as well as indie rock sensations The Delta Riggs and SA band, Loose Change.
Concertgoers can also look forward to the folk-pop melodies of Australian duo The Dreggs, who will serenade Streaky as part of their International tour. DJ Taijyyy will take over the stage at 10.30pm, for those who want to dance the night away.
Eats and drinks, kids entertainment and camping…
In addition to the stellar music lineup, foodies will also be in heaven, with an equally impressive selection of food and beverage vendors, from freshly caught seafood to gourmet pizzas, healthy gluten free and vegan options, and tasty Thai cuisine just a few of the offerings.
The team from Barrossa Valley’s Outlaw Wines will be bringing the vino and there’ll be cocktails and mocktails available from the crew at Streaky Bay Distillers.
For the kids – the entertainment is “elite”, with the return of Xtreme Kites and Paddle, offering an insane $35 entertainment package for the whole afternoon, including an Xtreme obstacle run, jumping castles, sumo suits, bubble soccer and zorb balls.
If you’ve got a road trip ahead of you or you can’t wait to hear the sounds of the Streaky music fest, you can listen to the official event playlist right here, and if you need to pack your swag or load up the RV, there are camping options available.
The event is presented by the District Council of Streaky Bay.
