How ‘Out Into The Blue’ Brings the Outback to Life

Mark Tempany and Alison Hams have released their latest music video, “Out Into The Blue,” from their self-produced album of the same name.

Filmed on the vast Woomera plain using a single cinema camera, “Out Into The Blue” shows off the stunning South Australian Outback, telling the story of a boy from Queensland meeting a girl from the desert.

The album has already pumped out some hits, including the lead single “Lullaby” and “Broken Ground”.

“Out Into The Blue” is the inspiring title track of this critically acclaimed album, marking the comeback of the veteran singer-songwriters. Produced on the edge of the vast South Australian Outback, the song features a brilliant percussion arrangement by Nashville’s Kayleigh Moyer. The track reflects Mark’s upbringing in Queensland’s lush rainforests and afternoon thunderstorms, and Alison’s roots on the edge of the South Australian desert—two lives brought together by pure chance over 20 years ago.

Alison described the experience as unforgettable – “Being part of that endless horizon at dawn and dusk is something we’ll never forget.” Mark added, “The isolation of our location allowed us to focus on capturing the powerful imagery needed to tell our story.”
