A legendary celebration of Motorsport at Mallala
Mallala is revving to life this weekend as the iconic All Historic Mallala event rolls into town – kicking off on Friday night with a good old-fashioned Street Party!
Organised by the Sporting Car Club of South Australia, this legendary motorsport celebration has been drawing crowds since 1982 and is widely recognised as one of the best picnic racing meetings in the country.
The town street party sets the tone with classic cars, great food and live entertainment – the perfect warm-up before the real action kicks off trackside and a great family-friendly way to start the school holidays.
From Saturday, the All Historic Mallala races roar into full swing with over 200 competitors from across Australia. Expect to see everything from Group K & L cars and historic touring cars to motorbikes, thrilling demonstration events, and a Show ‘n’ Shine that’ll make any car lover’s heart race.
Off the track, the All Historic Showground is a crowd favourite, with free kids’ activities, from jumping castles, a sticky wall and video games, plus a relaxed zone with food trucks, local produce, and drinks. Snap up event merch, and treat yourself to goodies from Golden North Ice Cream, Applewood Distillery, and the Bee Society of SA.
It’s loud, it’s fast, it’s nostalgic – and it’s family-friendly fun at its finest.
