Frock up for cocktails, steakies and fun at Jamestown’s Ram & Ewe Ball
Jamestown’s famous Ram and Ewe Ball is back on March 1. It’s a chance to shake off the dust and kick up your heels – it’ll be like stepping back to the 90’s B&S ball era, but a little more inclusive, and a whole lot classier.
They’ve switched out the Bundy drench for fancy Margaritas and Strawberry Daiquiris, and whether you’re single, taken, or you’re just in need of a good night out, this timely rural round-up is the perfect chance to frock up or pull out your good shirt and let your hair down.
One of the only remaining country balls of its kind, the shearing shed at Jamestown oval will be pumping with live music from The Donnies, Bock Shepherd and DJ Niely. Pre-drinks will kick off from 7pm, with a chance to “mingle”, before the party kicks off at 8pm. Fuel up with a drink at the bar, a bite from Mumma T’s steak van and grab a souvenir of the night at the Picaboo photo booth.
A free shuttle bus will be running across town for local pick ups and drop offs, or you can pack your swag, jump in someone else’s, or pop up the roof top tent at the free campground onsite. If you’re past the days of swagging it, the Jamestown Caravan Park might be more your style!
The Ram and Ewe Rural Ball is organised by a legendary group of local volunteers, with support from Jamestown Apex Club and the Railway Hotel.
