Granite Rocks Music Festival – A Rockin’ Good Time in Wudinna
Granite Rocks Music Festival is back for its second year and is set to take over Wudinna Oval on Saturday, April 5. Following its award-winning debut in 2024, the festival is shaping to be even bigger and better, with a dynamic line-up of entertainment, food and fun.
The heart of the Eyre Peninsula will certainly be pumping, as Wudinna welcomes around 2000 festival goers and some killer acts including headliners, popular Aussie punk band Bodyjar and the touring legends from 28 Days. Adelaide’s popular P!NK tribute band, Get Pinked, will be bringing some high energy to the stage as well as Funk Me, Summer Search Party, Caitlin Drew and the BlindSide, Outnumbered, Brass Souls, Louis Fuller, DG ands other Chords. Whatever your vibe Granite Rocks has your mood and your moves covered.
To fuel the groove, Granite Rocks has rounded up some of the best eats the region has to offer. Chow down on delicious dishes from Thip Thai, the BBQ masters from Whyalla – Smokey Uppercuts or treat your sweet tooth with famous RFDS donuts. You’ll also find fresh seafood from Fishfix (Streaky Bay), wood-fired pizzas from Pizzas for Shore, Beyond India and barista brews from Flower and Honey Coffee Van.
This family-friendly and wheelchair accessible event is a labour of love for passionate locals, Westy, Kez and Jayno, with huge support form sponsors and an army of volunteers. And all the fun is for a great cause, with money donated to the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
Make a weekend of it. There’s powered campsites available for $20 a night, free camping on the Saturday for festival goers and if you’re taking the kids, be sure to explore Wudinna’s wonderful Apex Park, complete with a jumping pillow, pump track and splash pad.
Kick off the weekend with the friendly locals and a meal at Wudinna Hotel Motel and don’t forget to explore the town’s epic granite monolith, Mount Wudinna.
