Escape the ordinary and discover something extraordinary at AWEsome Bundaleer

Music, art, culture, and community will collide for some AWEsome fun at Bundaleer Forest on Sunday, October 13, the last day of school holidays.

Get in quick to grab your tickets to the mid-north’s fun-filled forest adventure – a family friendly event with non-stop entertainment.

This is the first time the Bundaleer Forest community has teamed up with Nature Festival SA and the kids will love it!

They’ll be able to explore the imaginative nature play area, complete with Climbing Tree’s activity pods fresh from the Adelaide Show, while adults browse the art show featuring paintings, sculptures, photography, and more. Throughout the day, you can discover the magical fairy village, learn about Ngadjuri and Nukunu culture through hands-on activities, and even kick off your Christmas shopping at the local makers’ market.

For a unique arts-in-nature adventure, meander your way through the forest on the ‘Maple Walk,’ where you’ll be greeted by the dynamic, larger-than-life performer Judy Lewis.

Along the way, expect fun surprises from artists, singers, and even ukulele players! The adventure includes performances by choirs, belly dancers, and local talents, with fairies adding a touch of magic. Look out for local ABBA-loving cousins, Michelle Noonan and Jackie Kitschke, who will be belting out their favorite ABBA tunes for a dash of 70’s fun. Plus Jamestown’s Ross and Cate Pearce will also perform familiar songs you’re sure to love.

The walk, open for two sessions at 11:30am and 2pm, promises to be a highlight for both the young and the young at heart, with surprises around every corner.

Music and mouth-watering bites

There’ll be plenty of food and drinks to satisfy even the hungriest of forest dwellers. Enjoy YP Wood-Fired Pizzas, delicious bites from Mumma T’s Food Truck, and authentic curries from Beyond India. Newly launched Willow & Co will bring coffee and eats, the Lions Club will have donut treats and the Apex Club will fry up some classic snags. Then, sit back and relax on the beautiful lawns of Maple & Pine with a legendary Golden North Ice Cream as you soak in performances from the main stage, including the incredible Sun of Africa Drum and Dance Ensemble, a locally based Papua New Guinean traditional dance group, and acoustic tunes from Scott and Riley Rathman and Caitlin Drew.

AWEsome Bundaleer is supported by Nature Festival SA and Flinders Ranges Brush with Art, along with major sponsors AGL, Energy Australia, Climbing Tree Creations, Foodland Jamestown, Hunts Fuel, Kelly Kelly Legal, The Park Jamestown, Shellie’s Shoes, Morgan Sawmill and Mannanarie Manor.
