Get excited cycling fans, one of the world’s greatest races, the Santos Tour Down Under is here for 2025.
Incredibly, we’re now in the 25th year of this South Aussie institution of lycra and cowbell ringing. Last year’s attendance hit an estimated 770,600, which is nothing short of amazing, and this year’s event promises to be another absolute cracker with a stack of top international cyclists hitting the roads of our great state.
The action will be hot on and off the track, with ten days of not only racing but plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.
The 2025 Santos Tour Down Under covers close to 1200 kilometres as riders and spectators get to soak in some of the best scenery that SA has to offer.

The FREE Santos Tour Down Under City of Adelaide Tour Village
The Village is also back in a big way, with plenty of places to chill out, stalls to explore, activities for the kids, food outlets and music in Victoria Square.
There will also be special guest appearances from Australian Olympic cyclist and Tour Down Under Race Director, Stuart O’Grady who also happened to be the winner of the very first Tour Down Under in 1999, Phil Liggett aka the Voice of Cycling and 2024 Paris Olympic Gold Medal Cyclist Grace Brown.
It doesn’t stop here, there are also some other amazing activities to keep the whole family entertained:
Bike Expo
The village will also feature a Bike Expo which will include the latest technology and innovations from the biggest brands in cycling as well as a fully programmed stage for participants to learn from the experts.
Team Zone
This exclusive behind the scenes access is unique to the Santos Tour Down Under in that it is the only
UCI WorldTour race which offers fans the opportunity to see the wizard cycling mechanics at work. If you are lucky you may even get to meet some of your favourite riders.
Big Bike Night Film Night
If you are a fan of cycling short films then this is just for you. You can enjoy a range of the the best short movies from around the globe which are informative, entertaining and most importantly of all – inspirational; all celebrating the fun, adventure, and joy that cycling brings.
Live Entertainment
There’s also a host of different talented performers where you can get your boogy on including: Hot Dub Time Machine, Bangaz n Ash, Laura Hill, Jake Dualby, Just Thinking, Tania Smith, Ben Vidic and Lucas Day .
Foodie lovers
You won’t go hungry with some of Adelaide’s top food vendors showcasing some of the world’s best quality food which utilises some of the best SA produce that we have to offer.
Santos Best Dressed Town Competition
Another fan favourite is the Santos Best Dressed Town Competition and to commemorate 25 years of the Tour Down Under we are inviting the public to vote for their favourite Best Dressed Town from the past quarter of a century.
Last year it was Middletown who were crowned the Best Dressed Town as they transformed their town into vibrant blue, orange and yellow decorations and had creative touches including surfboard-shaped bikes and festive bunting which highlighted the community’s unity and enthusiasm for the Santos Tour Down Under.
