When local builder Sam Macdonald first laid eyes on a block just a stone’s throw from Clare’s main street, he saw more than just a piece of land. The founder of SJM Builders, Sam had a vision to turn this space into a peaceful, luxurious retreat.

But for Sam, Clare Hillside Apartments was different. “This was always something I wanted to do,” Sam said. “I truly wanted visitors to be close to the main street of Clare and enjoy what is on offer. Hopefully people staying one, two, or even more nights in the heart of the Clare Valley will help stimulate local businesses as well. The secluded nature of the site gives a perfect sense of privacy with only a two minute walk to main street. It’s been my passion project from the start, and I’m thrilled to see how well it’s been received.”
